NASCAR Nationwide drivers offer mixed reviews of racing on rain tires at Montreal

MONTREAL – Despite a thrilling finish to Sunday’s NAPA Auto Parts 200 at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, some NASCAR Nationwide Series competitors questioned whether the race should have gotten to that point.
During a caution with 16 laps to go – and past the halfway point that makes it an official race – NASCAR decided to bring the cars to pit road and have teams switch over to wet-weather setup. A brief rain storm soaked the track, and sunset was looming a little more than an hour away.
